Role description
BCforward is seeking a Healthcare Data Scientist to work hybrid in Ridgefield CT Job Title: Data Scientist Location: Ridgefield, CT Hybrid Duration : 6 months plus W2 only Healthcare-focused Data Scientist Duties: The primary focus of the Data Scientist candidate will be to work with a business team to analyze data sets and design analytical solutions. Responsibilities include translating idea to data, data preparation, analysis and modelling, user testing, product development and maintenance. Requirements Education: Bachelor's degree Overall cumulative minimum GPA from last completed quarter/semester 3.0 GPA (on a 4.0 scale) preferred Major or minor in related field Graduate and Advanced Degree preferred . Skills: BA/BS or MS in Computer Science, Data Science, or another STEM field. Experience with Data Visualization Tools. Strong command of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint. Proficient in Python and or R, SQL. Experience of distributed computing (Hive/Hadoop) is a plus. Understanding of database and analytical technologies in the industry. Experience or coursework in machine learning and/or deep learning packages available for R and Python Experience working with large and complex healthcare datasets, preferably patient-level longitudinal data, and experience with studies of adherence, healthcare utilization, drug abandonment, patient journey, etc. Demonstrated ability to think strategically about business, product, and technical challenges in an enterprise environment. Ability to collaborate in a team environment and excel working in a VUCA environment. Strong oral and written communication skills This is a Data Scientist ( Healthcare/AI transformation role Strong in end-to-end analytics (data → model → insight → product) Comfortable with patient-level healthcare data + business translation Work Address- Onsite/Flex • : This position is site based with flexibility for remote working. Working onsite a minimum of 2-3 days per week is required. Remote working norms will be clarified during the interview process.
