Hospital Health Data Governance Lead (AI Training)
About The Role
What if your expertise in healthcare data governance could directly influence how AI understands, interprets, and reasons about clinical information for millions of patients? We're looking for experienced health data governance professionals to help train and evaluate cutting-edge AI models — ensuring they understand the standards, frameworks, and nuances that make hospital data trustworthy, compliant, and clinically meaningful.
This is a fully remote, flexible contract role. No AI background needed — just deep expertise in healthcare data governance and a sharp eye for quality.
• Organization: Alignerr
• Type: Hourly Contract
• Location: Remote
• Commitment: 10–40 hours/week
What You'll Do
• Apply your healthcare data governance expertise to evaluate and improve AI-generated content related to clinical data management, compliance, and data quality
• Review AI outputs for accuracy, clinical relevance, and alignment with real-world governance frameworks such as HIPAA and other regulatory standards
• Define and assess governance standards covering data accuracy, consistency, security, and appropriate use across clinical and operational contexts
• Provide structured, expert feedback on how well AI systems understand cross-functional data workflows involving clinical, IT, compliance, and administrative stakeholders
• Evaluate AI reasoning around healthcare privacy, data lifecycle management, and regulatory compliance scenarios
• Work independently and asynchronously — fully on your own schedule
Who You Are
• Experienced in healthcare data governance, clinical data management, or health information operations
• Strong working knowledge of healthcare privacy and regulatory frameworks — particularly HIPAA and related compliance standards
• Comfortable assessing data governance concepts across clinical, technical, and administrative domains
• Naturally detail-oriented with a methodical, standards-driven approach to quality
• Able to articulate complex governance concepts clearly in written feedback
• No prior AI or tech industry experience required
Nice to Have
• Prior experience with data annotation, data quality evaluation, or information management systems
• Background in EHR platforms, clinical informatics, or health IT
• Familiarity with data governance frameworks such as DAMA-DMBOK or similar

• Exposure to analytics, reporting, or operational data use cases in healthcare settings
Why Join Us
• Work on cutting-edge AI projects alongside leading research labs and AI teams
• Fully remote and flexible — work when and where it suits you
• Freelance autonomy with the structure of meaningful, expert-driven work
• Contribute directly to how AI understands one of the most complex and consequential domains in the world — healthcare
