Role description
Hospital Health Data Governance Lead (AI Training)
About The Role
What if your expertise in hospital data governance could directly shape how AI understands and reasons about healthcare — influencing systems that will support clinical decisions for millions of patients worldwide?
We're looking for experienced Hospital Health Data Governance Leads to bring real-world clinical data expertise to cutting-edge AI development. You'll help ensure that AI systems built for healthcare contexts reflect the accuracy, compliance standards, and governance rigor that real hospital environments demand.
This is a fully remote, flexible contract role. No AI background needed — just deep experience in healthcare data governance and a sharp eye for data quality.
• Organization: Alignerr
• Type: Hourly Contract
• Location: Remote
• Commitment: 10–40 hours/week
What You'll Do
• Apply your hospital data governance expertise to evaluate and improve AI-generated content related to health data management, clinical workflows, and compliance frameworks
• Assess whether AI outputs accurately reflect real-world standards for healthcare data accuracy, security, and regulatory compliance — including HIPAA and related frameworks
• Identify gaps, inaccuracies, and unrealistic assumptions in AI-generated healthcare governance content
• Provide structured, expert feedback that helps AI systems better understand the complexities of clinical data operations
• Draw on your cross-functional experience working with clinical, IT, and compliance teams to evaluate nuanced, real-world scenarios
• Work independently and asynchronously — fully on your own schedule
Who You Are
• Experienced in healthcare data governance, clinical data management, or health information operations
• Strong working knowledge of healthcare privacy, security, and regulatory frameworks — particularly HIPAA
• Familiar with the realities of aligning data policies and workflows across clinical, technical, and administrative stakeholders
• Detail-oriented and methodical — you spot inconsistencies that others miss
• Able to evaluate complex healthcare scenarios and communicate your reasoning clearly in writing
• No prior AI or tech experience required
Nice to Have
• Experience with data quality programs, data annotation, or evaluation and audit systems
• Background in health informatics, clinical informatics, or healthcare IT
• Familiarity with EHR systems, data interoperability standards (HL7, FHIR), or hospital reporting frameworks
• Prior work in quality assurance, regulatory affairs, or compliance review within a hospital or health system
Why Join Us
• Work at the intersection of healthcare expertise and frontier AI development
• Fully remote and flexible — work when and where it suits you
• Freelance autonomy with the structure of meaningful, task-based work
• Contribute directly to AI systems that could reshape how healthcare data is understood and governed at scale
• Exposure to large-scale health data systems and model training methodologies
• Potential for ongoing work and contract extension as new projects launch
