Hospital Health Data Governance Lead (AI Training) About The Role What if your expertise in healthcare data governance could directly shape how AI understands, interprets, and works with clinical and operational health data? We're looking for experienced health data governance leaders to help ensure that hospital data used in AI training is accurate, trusted, compliant, and ready for real-world clinical, regulatory, and analytical use. This is a fully remote, flexible contract role. You'll bring your deep knowledge of healthcare data systems to a cutting-edge AI project — without leaving the flexibility of freelance work behind. • Organization: Alignerr • Type: Hourly Contract • Location: Remote • Commitment: 10–40 hours/week What You'll Do • Define, apply, and enforce data governance standards to ensure hospital health records are accurate, consistent, and secure • Work cross-functionally with clinical, IT, compliance, and leadership stakeholders to align data policies and workflows • Identify gaps in data quality, consistency, and compliance and recommend actionable remediation strategies • Evaluate and annotate healthcare datasets to support AI model training and validation • Ensure governed, high-quality data supports patient care, clinical reporting, analytics, and operational improvement • Apply knowledge of healthcare regulatory frameworks — including HIPAA — to assess data handling and compliance posture • Provide structured, expert-level feedback on data governance scenarios and healthcare data quality Who You Are • Experienced in healthcare data governance, clinical data management, or health information operations • Strong working knowledge of healthcare privacy, compliance, and regulatory frameworks — particularly HIPAA • Skilled at working across clinical, technical, and administrative teams to align data strategy and execution • Naturally detail-oriented with a systematic approach to evaluating data quality and integrity • Clear communicator who can translate complex governance concepts into actionable guidance • Comfortable working independently and asynchronously on structured, task-based assignments Nice to Have • Prior experience with data annotation, data quality evaluation, or AI training workflows • Background in EHR systems, clinical data warehouses, or health information exchanges • Familiarity with data governance frameworks such as DAMA-DMBOK or AHIMA standards • Experience with healthcare analytics, population health, or value-based care reporting Why Join Us • Work at the intersection of healthcare data expertise and cutting-edge AI development • Fully remote and flexible — work when and where it suits you • Freelance autonomy with the structure of meaningful, task-based work • Contribute directly to AI systems that could shape the future of healthcare data integrity • Exposure to large-scale health data systems and real-world AI model training pipelines • Potential for ongoing work and contract extension as new projects launch
