About The Role

We're looking for experienced Hospital Health Data Governance Leads to help define the standards, frameworks, and controls that ensure hospital health data is accurate, trusted, compliant, and ready for the AI systems of tomorrow.
This is a fully remote, flexible contract role built for seasoned healthcare data professionals who know how to navigate the complex intersection of clinical operations, IT, compliance, and data quality.

What You'll Do
• Define and enforce governance standards that ensure hospital health records are accurate, consistent, and secure
• Work across clinical, IT, compliance, and leadership functions to align data policies and workflows
• Enable governed, high-quality health data to support patient care, regulatory reporting, analytics, and operational decision-making
• Evaluate and improve data management practices in the context of AI model training and clinical data operations
• Identify gaps in data quality, integrity, and compliance — and recommend actionable solutions
• Apply your expertise to real-world healthcare data challenges that directly influence cutting-edge AI development
Who You Are
• Experienced in healthcare data governance, clinical data management, or health information operations
• Deeply familiar with healthcare privacy, compliance, and regulatory frameworks — particularly HIPAA
• Skilled at working cross-functionally with clinical, technical, and administrative stakeholders
• Systematic and detail-oriented, with the ability to assess complex data environments clearly and confidently
• Comfortable working independently in a remote, asynchronous environment
Nice to Have
• Prior experience with data annotation, data quality evaluation, or AI training workflows
• Background in health informatics, clinical informatics, or electronic health record (EHR) systems
• Familiarity with data governance frameworks such as DAMA-DMBOK or equivalent
• Experience in hospital operations, clinical compliance, or health IT consulting
