Role description
Hospital Health Data Governance Lead (AI Training)
About The Role
What if your expertise in healthcare data governance could directly shape how AI understands and works with clinical information — improving the systems that support patient care for millions of people?
We're looking for experienced Hospital Health Data Governance Leads to help us build, evaluate, and refine AI models that interact with complex healthcare data. Your deep knowledge of clinical data standards, compliance frameworks, and cross-functional governance will be put to work ensuring that AI-generated outputs related to health data are accurate, trustworthy, and fit for real-world use.
This is a fully remote, flexible contract role. If you've spent years making hospital data work the way it should, this is your opportunity to bring that expertise to the frontier of AI development.
• Organization: Alignerr
• Type: Hourly Contract
• Location: Remote
• Commitment: 10–40 hours/week
What You'll Do
• Evaluate and validate AI-generated content related to hospital data governance, clinical data management, and healthcare compliance
• Apply your knowledge of healthcare data standards to assess whether AI outputs reflect accurate, real-world governance practices
• Identify gaps, inaccuracies, or compliance risks in AI-generated healthcare data frameworks and documentation
• Define and apply quality standards for how AI systems should reason about data accuracy, security, and regulatory requirements
• Provide structured, expert-level feedback using evaluation tools and rating frameworks
• Collaborate asynchronously with project teams to align on governance criteria and evaluation priorities
• Work independently on task-based assignments — on your own schedule
Who You Are
• Experienced in healthcare data governance, clinical data management, or health information operations
• Strong working knowledge of healthcare privacy and compliance frameworks — including HIPAA and related regulations
• Proven ability to work across clinical, IT, compliance, and administrative functions
• Naturally detail-oriented with a systematic, thorough approach to evaluating information
• Clear and precise written communicator who can document findings and reasoning effectively
• Self-motivated and reliable when working independently
Nice to Have
• Prior experience with data annotation, data quality programs, or evaluation workflows
• Background in EHR systems, health informatics, or clinical data operations
• Familiarity with AI tools or content evaluation platforms
• Experience developing or auditing data governance frameworks in a hospital or health system setting
Why Join Us
• Work at the intersection of healthcare expertise and cutting-edge AI development
• Fully remote and flexible — work when and where it suits you
• Freelance autonomy with the structure of meaningful, expert-level work
• Contribute to AI systems that will shape how technology handles health data at scale
• Exposure to large-scale health data systems and model training pipelines
• Potential for ongoing work and contract extension as new projects launch
