Role description
Hospital Health Data Governance Lead (AI Training)
About The Role
What if your expertise in hospital data governance could directly shape how AI understands and works with healthcare information at scale? We're looking for experienced health data governance professionals to help ensure that AI systems trained on clinical and operational data are built on a foundation of accuracy, trust, and compliance.
This is a fully remote, flexible contract role. No prior AI background required — just deep experience with healthcare data systems and a sharp eye for governance quality.
• Organization: Alignerr
• Type: Hourly Contract
• Location: Remote
• Commitment: 10–40 hours/week
What You'll Do
• Evaluate and validate hospital health data for accuracy, consistency, completeness, and security across clinical and operational domains
• Apply governance frameworks and standards to assess whether data meets compliance, regulatory, and quality benchmarks — including HIPAA and related frameworks
• Review data workflows, policies, and structures to identify gaps, inconsistencies, or risks in how health records are managed and used
• Work across simulated or representative clinical, IT, and compliance scenarios to provide structured expert feedback
• Help shape how AI systems understand healthcare data governance concepts, terminology, and best practices
• Complete task-based assignments independently on your own schedule
Who You Are
• Experienced in healthcare data governance, clinical data operations, or health information management
• Strong working knowledge of healthcare privacy, compliance, and regulatory frameworks — particularly HIPAA
• Comfortable navigating cross-functional environments spanning clinical, technical, and administrative domains
• Naturally detail-oriented with a systematic, thorough approach to evaluating data quality and governance standards
• Clear and concise written communicator who can document findings and reasoning effectively
• Self-motivated and reliable when working independently
Nice to Have
• Prior experience with data annotation, data quality evaluation, or AI training workflows
• Familiarity with EHR systems, clinical data warehouses, or health analytics platforms
• Background in health informatics, clinical operations, compliance, or health IT
• Experience with data governance frameworks such as DAMA-DMBOK or similar standards
Why Join Us
• Work on cutting-edge AI projects alongside leading research labs and AI teams
• Fully remote and flexible — work when and where it suits you
• Freelance autonomy with the structure of meaningful, task-based work
• Contribute to AI development that could improve how healthcare data is understood and used at scale
• Work at the intersection of healthcare expertise and frontier AI — a rare and valuable opportunity
• Potential for ongoing work and contract extension as new projects launch
