Role description
Hospital Health Data Governance Lead (AI Training)
About The Role
What if your expertise in healthcare data governance could directly shape how AI understands and works with hospital data — influencing clinical decisions, patient safety, and health system operations at scale?
We're looking for experienced Hospital Health Data Governance Leads to bring their real-world knowledge of clinical data systems, compliance frameworks, and healthcare operations to cutting-edge AI training projects. Your insights will help ensure that AI models built for healthcare environments understand what accurate, trusted, and compliant health data actually looks like in practice.
This is a fully remote, flexible contract role. No AI background needed — just deep expertise in healthcare data governance and a sharp eye for quality.
• Organization: Alignerr
• Type: Hourly Contract
• Location: Remote
• Commitment: 10–40 hours/week
What You'll Do
• Apply your healthcare data governance expertise to evaluate, annotate, and improve AI-generated content related to clinical data systems, compliance workflows, and health data management
• Review AI outputs for accuracy, completeness, and alignment with real-world healthcare data standards and regulatory frameworks such as HIPAA
• Identify gaps, errors, or misrepresentations in how AI handles healthcare data governance concepts
• Provide structured, detailed feedback that helps AI models better understand clinical, operational, and regulatory data contexts
• Draw on your cross-functional experience — spanning clinical, IT, and compliance teams — to assess the practical accuracy of AI-generated scenarios and recommendations
• Work independently and asynchronously on your own schedule
Who You Are
• Experienced in healthcare data governance, data management, or clinical data operations
• Strong working knowledge of healthcare privacy, compliance, and regulatory frameworks — particularly HIPAA
• Familiar with how data flows across clinical, IT, compliance, and administrative functions in a hospital or health system
• Naturally detail-oriented with a methodical, consistent approach to evaluating quality
• Clear and concise written communicator who can articulate complex data concepts effectively
• Comfortable working independently on task-based assignments without close supervision
Nice to Have
• Prior experience with data annotation, data quality evaluation, or content review workflows
• Background in health informatics, clinical documentation, or electronic health record (EHR) systems
• Familiarity with data governance frameworks such as DAMA-DMBOK or FAIR data principles in healthcare contexts
• Experience working with or advising on interoperability standards such as HL7 or FHIR
Why Join Us
• Work at the intersection of healthcare data and advanced AI — a genuinely rare opportunity
• Fully remote and flexible — work when and where it suits you
• Freelance autonomy with the structure of meaningful, expert-level work
• Contribute directly to AI systems that will shape the future of healthcare data management
• Exposure to large-scale health data challenges and model training at the frontier of AI research
• Potential for ongoing work and contract extension as new projects launch
