HR Data Governance Specialist

Location: Hybrid - St. Petersburg, FL 33716 Pay Rate: $40/hrly Contract Position Overview Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive HR Data Governance Specialist to support the development and documentation of data governance policies across our HR organization. This role will be instrumental in shaping how human capital data is maintained, reported, and audited, while collaborating closely with the People Analytics & Insights team, HR managers, and extended operations teams. Key Responsibilities • Develop and document HR data governance policies and procedures • Organize and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for HR data workflows • Collaborate with teams to understand reporting capabilities and dashboard requirements • Translate business needs into clear, actionable documentation and governance standards • Support Workday expansion efforts by documenting business requirements and workflow processes • Create visual process maps and workflow diagrams using Visio • Convert visual workflows into formal SOPs with written and verbal documentation • Participate in knowledge transfer sessions and meetings to capture evolving processes • Ensure compliance with internal risk and audit requirements through robust documentation • Assist in project management tasks related to HR data governance initiatives Qualifications • Proven experience in HR data governance, compliance, and risk management • Strong documentation skills with the ability to convert verbal input into structured standards • Proficiency in Microsoft Visio for process mapping and workflow visualization • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Experience working in environments with frequent audits (daily, weekly, monthly) • Ability to manage projects and develop standardized procedures independently • Comfortable working in a hybrid environment with initial onsite presence for onboarding #eastpriority25 Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of St. Petersburg, FL.
