IBM Data Power Engineer

Role: IBM Data Power Engineer Location: Phoenix, Arizona-Onsite Duration: Long Term Contract Job Description: Must have Skills: API, MPCW, GITHUB, JAVA, SQL, MQ Job Summary We are seeking an experienced IBM DataPower Engineer to design, develop, and support secure, high-performance API and integration solutions using IBM DataPower Gateway. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with API management, multi-protocol gateways (MPCW/MPGW), messaging integrations, and backend connectivity, working closely with application and infrastructure teams in an onsite enterprise environment. Key Responsibilities • Design, develop, configure, and support IBM DataPower Gateway solutions. • Build and manage API services using Multi-Protocol Gateway (MPGW / MPCW). • Implement security policies including TLS/SSL, OAuth, JWT, and certificate management. • Integrate DataPower with backend systems using IBM MQ, REST, SOAP, and HTTP/S. • Develop and maintain XSLT, XPath, and Gateway Scripts as needed. • Work with GitHub/Git for source control and deployment management. • Perform troubleshooting, performance tuning, and production support. • Collaborate with application, middleware, and infrastructure teams to ensure seamless integration. • Participate in deployment activities, upgrades, and environment migrations. • Document designs, configurations, and operational procedures. Required Skills & Qualifications • Strong hands-on experience with IBM DataPower Gateway. • Solid experience in API development and integration. • Expertise in Multi-Protocol Gateway (MPGW / MPCW) configurations. • Experience with IBM MQ and messaging-based integrations. • Working knowledge of Java for backend/service integration. • Strong SQL skills for data access and troubleshooting. • Experience using GitHub/Git for version control. • Understanding of enterprise security standards and API security best practices. • Ability to work onsite in Phoenix, AZ. • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
