Role description
IBM DataStage Engineer Rate - £475 - £525 Outside IR35 Duration - 6 months initial Location - Birmingham (Once / Twice a week on site) We're supporting a major data transformation programme focused on migrating and modernising enterprise data platforms. As part of the programme, we're looking for experienced IBM DataStage Engineers to play a key role in the extraction, transformation and migration of data from a large scale data warehouse environment. The Role: You'll be responsible for the development, support and maintenance of ETL solutions, working within a complex data landscape and supporting a significant data migration programme. This is a hands on engineering role requiring strong technical expertise across ETL development, data integration and SQL. Key Skills Required: • IBM DataStage • ETL development, support and maintenance • Strong SQL development skills • Azure Data Factory • Experience working with large scale data migration projects Highly Desirable Experience: Candidates with experience of the following technologies will be particularly well suited: • Netezza experience - The programme involves migrating data from an existing Netezza data warehouse, making this highly desirable. • Cognos exposure - The reporting layer sits within Cognos, so any experience supporting or integrating with Cognos environments would be beneficial.
