About the Role:
The Product and Services Delivery team is seeking a motivated individual to join as a Senior Crew Domain IBM ODM Developer to help deliver world-class Crew Management solutions.
Crew Manager Technical Business Analysts are part of a techno-functional team responsible for implementing and delivering Crew Manager and other airline operations management modules for airlines globally. This role also involves acting as a Subject Matter Expert (SME), training airline analysts, and ensuring successful product adoption.
Key Responsibilities:
• Collaborate in a cross-functional SCRUM team to deliver high-quality software, focusing on well-designed, efficient, and testable business rules using IBM ODM (Operational Decision Manager).
• Gather requirements from customers or aviation regulatory bodies, convert them into system requirements, and implement them as business rules.
• Develop, test, and deploy business rules using IBM ODM.
• Write and execute automation scripts, develop test scenarios, and deliver working rules to the customer.
• Work on high-value projects with large-scale customer impact, operating with minimal oversight.
• Solve complex business problems across multiple functional domains using various technologies.
• Represent customer and industry needs, mentor SMEs, and support upskilling efforts.
• Develop Jasper reports using Jaspersoft.
• Support continuous improvement by exploring alternative technologies and practices.
• Analyze production logs and defects, recommend and implement corrective actions.
• Think from a customer perspective to solve real-world user problems.
• Engage closely with customers to extract and define requirements, both remotely and on-site.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to implement Crew systems within scope and timeline.
• Gain a deep understanding of the application's UI and its integration into customer business processes.
• Participate in Interactive Pilot Assessments (IPA), workshops, and demo sessions.
• Document and test new releases and features.
• Ensure compliance with approved methods, tools, and standards.
• Demonstrate effective team collaboration and communication.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent technical experience is strongly preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in Java/Python/Angular/React or C++.
• 5+ years of experience in the Airline/Crew Management domain.
• Experience using IBM ODM (v8.9 or higher) and interest in rule coding.
• Solid understanding of database concepts and strong SQL scripting skills.
• Familiarity with UNIX commands.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and multitasking skills.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication; a second language is a plus.
• Ability to identify issues and escalate appropriately.
