Job Title: IBM Specialist (Federal Project)

General Description: This role will perform Application Middleware engineer tasks to support installation and maintenance of Web Server, Application Server, Application Release and Deployment support, Testing, Troubleshooting, and co-ordination with the data center and integrated application teams.
Primary Responsibilities:
β’ Installation and maintenance of IBM WebSphere, IBM Security Verify Access, and IBM Security Verify Governance.
β’ Monitor all installed applications, and infrastructure to ensure the systems and infrastructure availability
β’ Monitor and test application performance for potential issues, identify possible solutions, and work with developers to implement fixes
β’ Provide system and application installation, patching, maintenance, and updates support as required
β’ Develop and maintain custom scripts to increase system efficiency and lower the human intervention time on any tasks.
β’ Collaborate with the application developer, tester, and application engineer for the application release.
β’ Provide testing support for the data center operations and maintenance activities.
β’ Provide research, diagnose, troubleshoot, and identify solutions to resolve any system issues.
β’ Support system infrastructure and network change request tasks.
β’ Collaborate with various support teams for any cross-system troubleshooting efforts.
β’ Support system security finding/vulnerabilities remediation and ensure appropriate response to the risk and findings
β’ Provide clients with technical support as needed and relay information to our development teams for ongoing maintenance and update needs
β’ Support incident response process including documenting, communicating issues, issues analysis and reporting through completion.
β’ Document installation and configuration of product installation and create/maintain the application release implementation and configuration documentation.
β’ Perform diagnostic tests and debugging procedures for improving code and re-designing tasks
Required Skills:
β’ 5-7 years of experience as Application Middleware Engineer
β’ Bachelorβs degree in information systems, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or other equivalent experience.
β’ Must have working experience in installing, configuring, and troubleshooting in UNIX /Linux based environments
β’ Working experience with the AWS Cloud hosted application environment.
β’ Strong hands-on experience in managing incidents, operational issues and driving operational excellence for the services/systems
β’ Knowledge and experience with Oracle scripting and query (SQL or PL/SQL)
β’ Knowledge of the network protocols to identify the network connectivity and DNS requirements.
β’ Have knowledge of data analysis and technique
β’ Experience in RESTAPI, Postman, and other API tool testing
β’ Knowledge of application security vulnerabilities and remediation techniques
β’ Ability to handle client and customer issues tactfully and professionally
β’ Highly organized and detail-oriented
β’ Able to work in a fast-paced work environment
β’ Able to work independently with minimal guidance and supervision
β’ Able to research to solve complex issues and collaboration
β’ Additional Eligibility Requirements: Must be a US Citizen and able to pass security clearance
