Role description
Application Security Engineer Security Platforms Location: Remote USA Contract Position: 6 months+ potential extension Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States for any employer. Sponsorship is not available for this position. Third-party candidates will not be considered. We are seeking two Application Security Engineers to support a security modernization initiative focused on strengthening application security, identity management, and enterprise security tooling. The primary objectives of this engagement are implementing Black Duck for third-party application security scanning and deploying Bitwarden for enterprise password management. In addition to these priority initiatives, the engineers will help address broader cybersecurity improvements and operational backlog across infrastructure, identity, and monitoring platforms. Qualifications: Experience implementing Black Duck required Experience deploying enterprise password management solutions such as Bitwarden Strong background in cybersecurity engineering, DevSecOps, or application security tooling Familiarity with cloud security, identity governance, vulnerability management, and security monitoring platforms Experience working in enterprise environments integrating multiple security tools and security platforms Key Responsibilities: Lead the implementation and configuration of Black Duck to support software composition analysis and scanning of third-party and open-source application components Deploy and operationalize Bitwarden enterprise password management for secure employee credential management Design and maintain security architecture documentation and diagrams supporting enterprise security initiatives Integrate security tools and workflows with ServiceNow and other enterprise platforms Implement security monitoring, logging, and alerting including log ingestion and dashboards using tools such as Datadog Support identity and access security initiatives including AD access review automation and privileged access management using Delinea Strengthen endpoint and infrastructure security through systems hardening, vulnerability scanning, and firewall administration Support cloud security improvements within AWS and Microsoft security ecosystems including Microsoft E5 security capabilities Implement data protection controls including data exfiltration alerting and ransomware protection Support ingestion and monitoring of logs from enterprise platforms such as Workday, Linux systems, and endpoint management tools including Intune Conduct CIS Critical Security Controls gap assessments and support remediation efforts Participate in incident response preparation including tabletop exercises Evaluate and support deployment of emerging security capabilities such as AI-driven security tools and threat intelligence platforms Assist with broader cybersecurity engineering backlog and operational security tasks as required OpenKyber is proud to be a Certified Women s Business Enterprise, an Equal Opportunity Employer and values diversity.
