Rate/Salary: A reasonable estimate of the current pay range for this position is $80.00 to $85.00 hourly on W2 hourly. Actual pay will be based on a variety of factors, including shift, location, experience, skill set, performance, licensure and certification, and business needs, and will be set by your employer. The range for this position in other geographic locations may differ. Certain positions may also be eligible for variable incentive compensation, such as bonuses or commissions, that is not included in base pay. Job Title: IIoT Engineer - Lead Location: Pella, Iowa AND Des Moines, Iowa (Hybrid - 3-5 days a week onsite, one week per month, at either location. Location may change from one to the other on a month-to-month basis) 6 Months Position Overview: We are seeking a technically driven IIoT (industrial internet of things) Engineer - Lead to lead factory visualization and edge computing initiatives within our Litmus and Real-time Insights project. The ideal candidate is someone passionate about industrial data systems, IT/OT integration, scalable architecture, and real-time operational intelligence. Key Responsibilities: • Bring cross-functional IT and OT teams together to develop industrial data systems, scalable architecture, and real-time operational intelligence. • Design and implement edge-level data flows from factory assets using the Litmus Edge platform. • Develop scalable data models and metadata structures for integration with Litmus Edge, InfluxDB, and Databricks. • Partner with subject matter experts and the business intelligence team to develop dashboards/visualizations using Grafana and PowerBI. • Collaborate cross-functionally to support ROI analysis, downtime tracking, and system deprecation strategies. • Author technical documentation and contribute to governance standards for data processing and visualization. • Share knowledge with internal teams to support long-term sustainability of new systems, processes, and capabilities. Qualifications: • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, project management, and communication skills • Ability to work across teams to align technical execution with strategic goals. • Proven experience in industrial data ops, edge computing, or factory data systems. • Strong knowledge of visualization tools and real-time monitoring platforms. • Knowledge of industrial communication protocols (e.g., MQTT, OPC-UA, Modbus).
