Role description
As an INFOADVISOR™, you’ll be part of a trusted network of professionals dedicated to helping clients govern their data, protect their information, and manage risks effectively. From traditional records management to the new age of technologies such as AI and blockchain, this commissions-based role combines consulting, advisory, and customer relationship management skills to support clients in navigating complex information governance challenges.
Job Summary:
As an INFOADVISOR™, you will be an independent professional working directly with clients, similar to the role a financial advisor, real estate agent, doctor, lawyer, or insurance agent plays with their clients through their firms. You will assess information governance needs, offer solutions tailored to each client’s unique requirements, and provide ongoing guidance. This role is designed for professionals who enjoy building long-term relationships, have a strong sense of responsibility for data security and privacy, and are passionate about helping others protect their business-critical information.
Key Responsibilities:
• Client Engagement & Advisory Services: Establish and maintain long-term relationships with clients to understand their data and information governance needs. Act as a trusted advisor, providing insights and recommendations based on proven methodology and tools.
• Needs Assessment: Conduct comprehensive information governance analysis, similar to a risk analysis, to identify potential data risks, privacy concerns, and compliance needs for each client.
• Solution Customization: Offer tailored guidance and solutions to each client, from data management practices to regulatory compliance, collaborating with network of experts as needed.
• Educational Outreach: Educate clients on the importance of information governance, data protection, and risk management, encouraging proactive measures for data security.
• Compliance Support: Help clients navigate compliance requirements across various regulations and industries, ensuring that they remain secure and compliant over time.
• Continuous Professional Development: Stay informed on trends in information governance, data privacy, and regulatory changes to provide the most accurate and timely advice.
Qualifications:
• Background in Information Governance, Data Privacy, or Risk Management: Experience in a related field is essential; legal, IT, cybersecurity, privacy, records/data governance, or compliance expertise is a plus.
• Strong Communication & Relationship-Building Skills: Must be able to build trust and foster long-lasting relationships with clients.
• Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to analyze client challenges and provide creative, compliant, and practical solutions.
• Independence & Initiative: This role is ideal for independent professionals or freelancers with a drive to build their own book of business.
• Ethical Standards: High standards of integrity and accountability, with a strong commitment to client confidentiality and data protection.
Why be an INFOADVISOR™?
• Be Your Own Boss: As an independent professional, you set your schedule, manage your own clients, and control your growth.
• Supportive Network: Join a community of like-minded professionals with access to specialized training, tools, and resources designed to help you succeed.
• Impactful Work: Help businesses and individuals safeguard their information and ensure responsible data practices.
• Revenue Sharing Model: Earn shared revenue based on client engagement, with opportunities for additional revenue through high performance.
