Infor XA Developer

Position Summary: We are seeking an experienced Infor XA (MAPICS) Consultant to design, develop, and maintain applications within the Infor XA ERP environment. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with RPG, CL, SQL, and IBM i (AS/400 or iSeries) systems, and a strong understanding of Infor XA architecture, Power-Link, and Integrator tools. The role involves developing customizations, integrating XA with other enterprise systems, and supporting users with technical and functional solutions. Key Responsibilities: • Design, develop, test, and deploy Infor XA (MAPICS) customizations and enhancements. • Support and maintain existing Infor XA applications, including troubleshooting and resolving issues. • Develop RPG (RPG IV / ILE), CL, and SQL programs on IBM i (AS/400 / iSeries) platform. • Utilize Infor XA tools such as Power-Link, Net-Link, System-Link, Integrator, and IDF (Infor Development Framework). • Collaborate with business analysts and functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions. • Integrate XA with external systems (e.g., CRM, WMS, MES, EDI, and reporting tools). • Support version upgrades, patches, and performance optimization. • Document development activities, code changes, and technical specifications. • Provide user training and post-implementation support when needed. Required Skills and Experience: • 5+ years of hands-on experience with Infor XA (MAPICS) ERP. • Strong proficiency in RPG IV / ILE, CL, and SQL programming on IBM i (AS/400 / iSeries). • Experience with Infor XA Power-Link, Net-Link, System-Link, and Integrator tools. • Working knowledge of IDF (Infor Development Framework). • Experience with data interfaces, APIs, and integrations between XA and other enterprise applications. • Solid understanding of manufacturing, supply chain, finance, and distribution modules within Infor XA. • Ability to analyze business processes and provide effective technical solutions. • Strong problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills. Preferred Qualifications: • Experience with Infor XA upgrade projects or migrations. • Familiarity with Infor OS, Infor Mongoose, or Infor CloudSuite. • Knowledge of EDI, barcoding, and warehouse automation systems. • Exposure to SQL-based reporting tools (e.g., Query/400, Crystal Reports, Cognos, Power BI). • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
