Role description
Role: IT Business Analyst Location: New York, NY (Hybrid role - 3days Onsite) Duration: 6 Months Contract Requirements: β€’ Conduct interviews, workshops, surveys, and other elicitation techniques with various stakeholders (business users, subject matter experts, technical teams) to gather comprehensive business, functional, and non-functional requirements β€’ .Analyze and document current-state ("as-is") business processe β€’ sDevelop and maintain comprehensive Business Requirements, Functional Specification and process flow diagram β€’ sTranslate high-level business needs into detailed, unambiguous, and testable requirements specification β€’ sCritically evaluate information gathered, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into detail, and distinguish user requests from the underlying true business need β€’ sPartner with local and Head Office IT teams to understand system capabilities, features, limitation β€’ sCollaborate with Solution Architects and technical leads to ensure proposed solutions align with business requirements and strategic objectives β€’ .Participate in design sessions and provide input from a business perspective β€’ .Review and validate technical designs and prototypes against documented requirements β€’ .Define solution proposals based on information gathered from system SME’s taking into consideration system capabilities, features and functionality available and used by other platform β€’ sDrive project deliverables managing timelines, and proactively resolving blocker β€’ sEscalate issues impacting the project in a clear concise and timely manne β€’ rLiaise with local and AMER compliance members on projects ensuring that subject matter experts and stakeholders are appropriately engage β€’ dMake recommendations to improve effectiveness and overall process efficienc β€’ yProvide clear and concise project reporting to USIT managemen t Not β€’ e:Domain (must have) KYC / Client onboarding / Regulatory / Compliance Banking or capital markets experience Exposure to regulators (FINRA, Fed, etc β€’ .)BA capability (core) : Writing: BRDs / FRDs and Functional specs with Creating: Process flows / Data flow diagra β€’ msData + technical edge (key differentiator) SQL + Python (data analysis) Power BI (or similar) for storytelling Ability to: Pull data, Reconcile across systems, Present insigh ts
