Information Technology Business Analyst

IT Business Analyst: Location: Richmond, VA 23220 Duration: 12 month ongoing contract Day-to-Day: Insight Global is seeking an experienced IT Business Analyst to lead the business analysis efforts for a client's enterprise application built on the Microsoft technology stack. This role requires a strong technical foundation, excellent documentation skills, and the ability to collaborate across development, QA, and business teams. Responsibilities: • Lead end-to-end business analysis for applications built on .NET, SQL Server, Azure services, and Power Platform. • Translate business needs into detailed functional specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria. • Document workflows, data models, and system integrations with precision and clarity. • Collaborate with developers and QA teams to ensure requirements are implemented accurately. • Manage backlogs, releases, and test cases using Azure DevOps. • Support UAT and manual testing efforts for critical user journeys. • Reverse-engineer legacy systems and contribute to modernization efforts. Requirements: • 5+ years of experience as an IT Business Analyst. • Hands-on experience with: • .NET applications • SQL Server (queries, stored procedures, schema understanding) • Azure services and Azure DevOps • Power Platform, especially Power BI • Exceptional documentation and communication skills. Compensation: $40/hr to $50/hr. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
