Information Technology Business Analyst

Job Title: IT Senior Business Analyst Location: Indianapolis, IN Duration: 24+months Type: Contract Preference is a hybrid work schedule but will consider exceptional Remote candidates Job Description: • Resource will work with the PM in the planning, directing, and coordination of activities related to the replacement of a large enterprise scale technology project. • Ensuring the business requirements of the project are captured leading to a successful transition. • The ideal candidate will have an engaging personality with the ability to communicate and engage all levels of the business and user community. • The individual selected must be comfortable with technology, possess good analytical skills, and possess superior customer service skills. Individual must be a team player willing to do what is needed to get the job done. Essential Duties/ Job Responsibilities: • Candidate will be a detailed planner, expert communicator, top-notch analyst, and have a deep understanding of business operations and IT systems. • The person selected will be wholly committed to the discovery and development of cutting-edge innovative solutions. • They will review, analyze, and evaluate business systems and operational needs. • Document requirements, define scope and objectives, and formulate systems to parallel overall business strategies. • They will coordinate with departmental heads, executives, and other stakeholders to streamline processes, enhance productivity, and improve operational effectiveness. Responsibilities: • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their needs and gather detailed business requirements. • Develop and document business process models to illustrate current and future states. • Propose and design technical and process solutions that meet business needs and objectives. • Communicate and validate requirements with relevant stakeholders. • Construct workflow charts and diagrams, studying system capabilities, and writing specifications. • Identify opportunities for process improvements and contribute to ongoing optimization efforts. • Convert roadmap features into smaller user stories. • Work with IT and other departments to implement solutions and ensure they align with business goals. • Liaison between various business departments and group • Communicate findings, and recommendations, to project manager for updates to stakeholders and executives. • Participate in testing and validating new systems and processes to meet business requirements. • Assist with project management as needed. Required: • Bachelor's degree in computer science, business or related field. • Business Analyst experience or in a related role • Knowledge of project management methodologies and tools • Strong experience leading, facilitating and motivating teams for medium to large scale IT projects • Strong understanding and experience working with stakeholders in achieving their goals • Strong background in facilitating/ leading requirement gathering sessions • Demonstrated experience in the creation of User Stories • Strong organizational, multitasking and time management skills • Strong verbal, written and interpersonal skills across all levels of the organization • Demonstrated understanding of all phases of the software development life cycle (SDLC), preferably in a Hybrid Agile environment. • Advanced troubleshooting, critical thinking, analytical problem solving, writing, and communication skills • Ability to develop productive working relationships, communicate clearly, and collaborate with people across the organization • Ability to manage projects to successful conclusion. • Ability to handle multiple tasks beyond the routine • High degree of independence, intuition, and initiative • Ability to maintain composure and control when things do not proceed as planned. • Experience with Software as a Service (SaaS) configuration, analysis, and troubleshooting of functional and basic technical components • Prior healthcare industry experience • Strong understanding of healthcare enterprise systems
