Role description
Job Title: IT Senior Business Analyst Location: Indianapolis, IN Duration: 24+months Type: Contract Preference is a hybrid work schedule but will consider exceptional Remote candidates Job Description: β€’ Resource will work with the PM in the planning, directing, and coordination of activities related to the replacement of a large enterprise scale technology project. β€’ Ensuring the business requirements of the project are captured leading to a successful transition. β€’ The ideal candidate will have an engaging personality with the ability to communicate and engage all levels of the business and user community. β€’ The individual selected must be comfortable with technology, possess good analytical skills, and possess superior customer service skills. Individual must be a team player willing to do what is needed to get the job done. Essential Duties/ Job Responsibilities: β€’ Candidate will be a detailed planner, expert communicator, top-notch analyst, and have a deep understanding of business operations and IT systems. β€’ The person selected will be wholly committed to the discovery and development of cutting-edge innovative solutions. β€’ They will review, analyze, and evaluate business systems and operational needs. β€’ Document requirements, define scope and objectives, and formulate systems to parallel overall business strategies. β€’ They will coordinate with departmental heads, executives, and other stakeholders to streamline processes, enhance productivity, and improve operational effectiveness. Responsibilities: β€’ Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their needs and gather detailed business requirements. β€’ Develop and document business process models to illustrate current and future states. β€’ Propose and design technical and process solutions that meet business needs and objectives. β€’ Communicate and validate requirements with relevant stakeholders. β€’ Construct workflow charts and diagrams, studying system capabilities, and writing specifications. β€’ Identify opportunities for process improvements and contribute to ongoing optimization efforts. β€’ Convert roadmap features into smaller user stories. β€’ Work with IT and other departments to implement solutions and ensure they align with business goals. β€’ Liaison between various business departments and group β€’ Communicate findings, and recommendations, to project manager for updates to stakeholders and executives. β€’ Participate in testing and validating new systems and processes to meet business requirements. β€’ Assist with project management as needed. Required: β€’ Bachelor's degree in computer science, business or related field. β€’ Business Analyst experience or in a related role β€’ Knowledge of project management methodologies and tools β€’ Strong experience leading, facilitating and motivating teams for medium to large scale IT projects β€’ Strong understanding and experience working with stakeholders in achieving their goals β€’ Strong background in facilitating/ leading requirement gathering sessions β€’ Demonstrated experience in the creation of User Stories β€’ Strong organizational, multitasking and time management skills β€’ Strong verbal, written and interpersonal skills across all levels of the organization β€’ Demonstrated understanding of all phases of the software development life cycle (SDLC), preferably in a Hybrid Agile environment. β€’ Advanced troubleshooting, critical thinking, analytical problem solving, writing, and communication skills β€’ Ability to develop productive working relationships, communicate clearly, and collaborate with people across the organization β€’ Ability to manage projects to successful conclusion. β€’ Ability to handle multiple tasks beyond the routine β€’ High degree of independence, intuition, and initiative β€’ Ability to maintain composure and control when things do not proceed as planned. β€’ Experience with Software as a Service (SaaS) configuration, analysis, and troubleshooting of functional and basic technical components β€’ Prior healthcare industry experience β€’ Strong understanding of healthcare enterprise systems
