Role description
Our client, a nuclear technology company, is looking for an Electronic Document Management System (EDMS) IT Business Analyst. This role analyzes business processes and supports IT solution development to meet operational needs.
Location: United States – Remote
Duration: 12 Month Contract
Compensation: $37 – $74 per hour.
Additional Compensation: This position is not eligible for bonus or incentive compensation.

Summary:
This is a systems and process analyst role supporting document management and IT modernization initiatives. The position focuses on gathering requirements, documenting business processes, and designing solutions that bridge IT and operational teams. The analyst serves as a key liaison between IT, Records Management, and business stakeholders to ensure system adoption and effectiveness, with an emphasis on analytical thinking, process improvement, and managing complex system implementations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead strategic analysis and planning initiatives involving business process reengineering and IT risk assessment.
• Gather, analyze, model, and track complex requirements, creating process diagrams and user stories aligned with business strategy.
• Design and support deployment of software, hardware, and commercial off-the-shelf applications.
• Interpret large datasets and create data visualizations to guide management decision-making.
• Act as liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams to explain project outcomes and evaluate vendor proposals.
• Design, execute, and automate test cases to ensure software quality before release.
• Support system implementation and continuous development upon release.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field with experience in system development and modification.
• Advanced knowledge of information systems capabilities, techniques, and design methodologies.
• Demonstrated ability to understand and execute complex technical instructions and requests.
• Ability to analyze complex technical data and identify and resolve problems.
• Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills.
• Minimum 5 years IT business analyst experience.
Nice to Have:
• Electronic Document Management System (EDMS) implementation experience.
• Idox Fusion P8 or comparable EDMS platform experience.
• Background with nuclear regulations, NQA-1, and Software Quality Assurance standards.
• Experience in highly regulated industries.
