Role description
Role: IT Business Analyst
Location: New York, NY (Hybrid role - 3days Onsite)
Duration: 6 Months Contract
Requirements:
β’ Conduct interviews, workshops, surveys, and other elicitation techniques with various stakeholders (business users, subject matter experts, technical teams) to gather comprehensive business, functional, and non-functional requirements.
β’ Analyze and document current-state ("as-is") business processes
β’ Develop and maintain comprehensive Business Requirements, Functional Specification and process flow diagrams
β’ Translate high-level business needs into detailed, unambiguous, and testable requirements specifications
β’ Critically evaluate information gathered, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into detail, and distinguish user requests from the underlying true business needs
β’ Partner with local and Head Office IT teams to understand system capabilities, features, limitations
β’ Collaborate with Solution Architects and technical leads to ensure proposed solutions align with business requirements and strategic objectives.
β’ Participate in design sessions and provide input from a business perspective.
β’ Review and validate technical designs and prototypes against documented requirements.
β’ Define solution proposals based on information gathered from system SMEβs taking into consideration system capabilities, features and functionality available and used by other platforms
β’ Drive project deliverables managing timelines, and proactively resolving blockers
β’ Escalate issues impacting the project in a clear concise and timely manner
β’ Liaise with local and AMER compliance members on projects ensuring that subject matter experts and stakeholders are appropriately engaged
β’ Make recommendations to improve effectiveness and overall process efficiency
β’ Provide clear and concise project reporting to USIT management
Note:
β’ Domain (must have) KYC / Client onboarding / Regulatory / Compliance Banking or capital markets experience Exposure to regulators (FINRA, Fed, etc.)
β’ BA capability (core) : Writing: BRDs / FRDs and Functional specs with Creating: Process flows / Data flow diagrams
β’ Data + technical edge (key differentiator) SQL + Python (data analysis) Power BI (or similar) for storytelling Ability to: Pull data, Reconcile across systems, Present insights
