Role description
This is a Technical Business Analyst position in a large, complex local government organization. This position is within the Information Technology Department for the purpose of assisting in implementing a complex, large-scale application. The candidate must live in South Florida; candidates from other regions will not be considered, and relocations are not accepted.
Experience with the following is required:
Experience in working with complex IT software projects in a large organization using Waterfall and Agile methodologies.
Strong experience in business process analysis, including understanding, documenting, and mapping current business processes.
Gathering business requirements and creating use cases, including leading and facilitating requirements gathering sessions.
Developing test plans, scenarios, test cases, and test data, including unit, integration, and user acceptance testing.
Developing training materials and user documentation.
Integration Design: Working with architects and developers to design integration workflows.
Extensive hands-on experience with SQL, including complex queries, data validation, and profiling.
Experience with data migration strategies, including source-to-target mapping and transformation logic.
Work duties may include:
Requirement Gathering and Solution Design: Translating business requirements into User Stories and technical specifications.
Business Process Analysis: Analyzing existing processes and recommending changes to enhance efficiency.
System Implementation and Testing: Conducting functional and integration testing.
Stakeholder Communication: Facilitating communication between stakeholders and technical teams.
Technical Documentation: Creating data flow diagrams, system interface specifications, and documenting APIs.
MINIMUM EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Bachelor's degree.
Five years of experience in software implementation and business process analysis are required.
Additional related work experience in software development/implementation and business process analysis may substitute for the required college education on a year-for-year basis.
