If this sounds like somewhere you’ll thrive, keep reading. -- Reports To: Reporting and Analytics Manager Department: Finance: Commercial & Planning / Insights & Analytics Location: Priory Park, Bedford/Hybrid - 2 days per week in the office Salary: circa £40,000 Contract Type: 6-month Fixed Term Contract The purpose of this role is to enable the business to make data driven decisions through the provision of accurate reporting and actionable insight. Gathering reporting requirements with key stake holders and ensuring the data from the new system meets the businesses reporting requirements. Supporting the business through a Major Tech & Transformation project including scoping, designing and rolling out a new reporting suite. Supporting BAU business processes including regular output of reporting and MI. Key Responsibilities • Playing a key role in enabling data lead decision making ensuring a good understanding of all systems and data available whilst gathering business requirements and translating into user friendly and easy to understand user dashboards. • Liaising with the Data Engineering team as well as the project team to ensure the required data is being captured from systems. • Manage deadlines and priorities so that regular reporting is delivered to schedule. • Identify best practice and areas of improvement from the current Power BI reporting suite and ensure these are addressed when creating new reports. • Be a point of contact for answering queries and clarifications from stakeholders, including managing day-to-day relationships. This will require a good understanding of the data in our systems, along with knowledge of the business activities. • Working with the Data Engineering Team as well as the Insights Platform Owner to ensure required data is available. • Working with the wider Insight & Analytics team to help build reports and data models using Power BI. • Maintain documentation of projects, report development, metrics and processes. • Working with large complex datasets, across several departments and source systems to ensure adequate information and analytics to run the day-to-day business activities. • Support the data strategy and ensure there is one version of the truth available to the business across the data and reporting landscape. Qualification / Experience Requirements • Proven experience of delivering multi-functional projects. • Proven experience of working in complex IT change programmes. • Ability to deal with multiple priorities and meet deadlines. • Ability to work independently and take ownership of own workload. • Process Mapping working with individuals at every level. • Experience of Process/Systems implementation. • Excellent attention to detail • Strong experience with Power BI, SQL and Microsoft Office suite. -- Accessibility: We make every effort to make our web presence accessible to all.
