Role description
SC Cleared Intelligence Analyst (Contract)
£325–£375 day rate | Outside IR35 | UK-based | Remote
Initial 2–3 months + strong extension potential
We’re supporting a UK public sector organisation on an early-stage discovery project, focused on understanding and rationalising a complex data landscape to inform a multi-year programme.
This is a hands-on analytical role supporting discovery. It is not a dashboard build / reporting-only BI role, and it is not data engineering. The successful contractor will be comfortable working through messy, fragmented data sources and producing clear insight and recommendations.
Key responsibilities
• Identify, map, and document data sources across multiple systems and formats
• Support discovery work by validating datasets and assessing data quality / gaps
• Help prioritise key data sources based on relevance, completeness, and usage
• Produce structured outputs that support roadmap recommendations and business case planning
• Communicate findings clearly to non-technical stakeholders (strategy / delivery / business case team members)
Key skills / experience
• Active SC clearance (essential)
• Experience in intelligence-led / investigations / policing-style analysis is highly desirable
• Familiarity with tools such as iBase, i2 Analyst’s Notebook, SAS (or similar investigative / analytical platforms)
• Strong working knowledge of SQL and Excel
• Comfortable working with legacy data environments and incomplete / inconsistent datasets
• Able to operate in discovery environments with ambiguity and shifting priorities
• Exposure to Tableau / Power BI is useful, but the focus is on analysis and insight
Contract details
• £325–£375/day (Outside IR35)
• UK-based, remote-first working
• Initial 2–3 month discovery phase
• Strong likelihood of extension depending on project outcomes
• Start ASAP / February start preferred
If you have active SC clearance and relevant experience, apply now, interviews are getting booked for w/c 9th February.
