Role description
What You’ll Do As an Interface Analyst, you’ll play a key role in implementing and supporting data integrations between healthcare systems and our SaaS and on-premise solutions. You’ll work closely with clients, internal teams, and external vendors to ensure secure, accurate, and standards-compliant data exchange across clinical and operational systems. Key Responsibilities: Interface Implementation & Configuration Lead interface implementations for healthcare clients, including multi-site hospital systems. Assess client environments to understand integration needs and system capabilities. Develop and validate interface specifications with stakeholders. Perform gap analyses and customize solutions to meet project goals. Design, build, and configure interfaces using industry standards (HL7, FHIR, EDI). Testing & Quality Assurance Manage all phases of interface testing: communication, data content, functional, and integrated. Troubleshoot and resolve issues to ensure timely and accurate implementation. Customer Engagement & Collaboration Act as a trusted partner to clients and internal teams throughout the implementation lifecycle. Escalate critical issues appropriately to maintain project momentum. Collaborate cross-functionally to deliver high-quality, disruption-free solutions. Ensure smooth post-implementation handoff to support teams and clients. Compliance & Data Privacy Handle sensitive health data in accordance with HIPAA and company privacy policies. Continuous Improvement & Special Projects Apply Fortive Business System tools (e.g., PSP, daily visual management) to drive project success. Participate in special projects and contribute to team and organizational goals. What You Bring Must-Have Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Health Informatics, or related field 3–5 years of experience in healthcare IT, ideally in a SaaS or cloud-based environment 2+ years working with interface engines (e.g., Mirth, Cloverleaf, Rhapsody) Hands-on experience with HL7, FHIR, and EDI integrations Experience integrating with EMR/EHR systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner, Meditech) Familiarity with HIPAA and healthcare data privacy standards Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail Excellent communication and collaboration abilities Preferred Qualifications: HL7 or Mirth Connect Certification Health IT certifications (e.g., HIMSS, CHIME) FHIR Proficiency Badge (e.g., HL7 or Coursera) Fortive Corporation Overview Fortive’s essential technology makes the world safer and more productive.
