Role description
Job OverviewWe are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Inventory Manager to oversee and optimize our inventory processes across multiple channels, including warehouse distribution, e-commerce, and retail management. The ideal candidate will leverage advanced data analytics, demand planning, and supply chain expertise to ensure efficient materials management, procurement, and order fulfillment. This role requires strong proficiency in ERP systems such as SAP, AS400, and warehouse management systems, along with excellent analysis skills to support process improvement initiatives and sourcing strategies. The Inventory Manager will play a critical role in maintaining seamless operations through effective negotiation, data visualization, and process optimization. Duties Develop and implement demand planning strategies utilizing analytics tools like Tableau, Power BI, and SQL to forecast inventory needs accurately. Manage procurement activities including sourcing, negotiation with suppliers, and overseeing purchasing processes to ensure cost-effective materials acquisition. Utilize ERP systems (SAP, AS400) and warehouse management systems to monitor inventory levels, coordinate order fulfillment, and optimize warehouse distribution. Conduct data mining and data collection to identify trends, analyze supply chain performance, and recommend process improvements for efficiency gains. Oversee warehouse operations including materials management, forklift operations (where applicable), and coordination with 3PL providers for logistics support. Monitor inventory accuracy through regular audits and reconcile discrepancies using data analysis skills. Lead initiatives for process improvement in inventory workflows, utilizing data visualization tools to communicate findings effectively to stakeholders. Collaborate with merchandising teams on retail management strategies and e-commerce order fulfillment processes. Maintain compliance with safety standards and ensure proper documentation for procurement activities. Qualifications Proven experience in inventory management within supply chain or retail environments. Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis tools such as Tableau, Power BI, SQL, and ERP systems (SAP, AS400). Expertise in demand planning, materials management, procurement, sourcing, and negotiation. Familiarity with warehouse distribution logistics, warehouse management systems, 3PL coordination, and order fulfillment processes. Knowledge of process improvement methodologies and data visualization techniques. Ability to interpret complex data sets for strategic decision-making through data mining and analysis skills. Experience with e-commerce platforms and retail merchandising is a plus. Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail; ability to manage multiple priorities effectively. Strong communication skills for cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder engagement.
