Role description
We are seeking a hands-on Investment Data / Reporting Analyst to support a data-intensive programme within a leading asset manager. The role focuses on investment data quality, reconciliations and reporting accuracy , rather than IT development or change delivery.
This position sits close to Investment Operations, Fund Accounting and Reporting , and requires someone comfortable working directly with large datasets , investigating breaks and ensuring data supports internal and external reporting outputs .

Key Responsibilities
• Perform investment data validation and reconciliations across positions, transactions and valuations
• Investigate and resolve data breaks and variances , taking issues through to root cause and resolution
• Ensure data quality supports regulatory, management and client reporting
• Work closely with Investment Operations, Finance and Reporting teams
• Produce clear analysis and evidence to support sign-off and controls
• Support UAT-style validation of reporting outputs (business-led, not dev-led)
• Contribute to data governance, controls and operational assurance activities
Required experience / background
• Strong experience in Investment Operations, Fund Accounting, Product Control or Reporting
• Hands-on experience with reconciliations and break investigation
• Strong understanding of investment data and reporting requirements
• Comfortable working with large and complex datasets
• Experience supporting reporting platforms or data environments such as Clearwater Analytics or Markit EDM
• Strong Excel skills; SQL beneficial but not essential
• Exposure to investment or regulatory reporting platforms (e.g. performance, accounting or client reporting tools)
• Experience supporting data or reporting platform changes
• Asset management or buy-side experience
