Job Summary:The IT Analyst will provide DevOps and database administration (DBA) support for SQL Server, Oracle, DB2, and Netezza environments. This role involves ensuring database reliability, performance optimization, data integrity, and security administration across enterprise platforms. The ideal candidate will possess hands-on experience with database troubleshooting, maintenance, and release management within large-scale or multi-database systems.Key Responsibilities:
• Provide database administration and DevOps support for SQL Server, Oracle, DB2, and Netezza systems.
• Troubleshoot and resolve connectivity, performance, and data load issues.
• Manage scheduled releases, including database objects, jobs, and system updates.
• Perform scheduled monthly database refreshes and coordinate maintenance windows.
• Administer security configurations for servers, databases, and object-level permissions.
• Perform regular database maintenance tasks such as backup, grooming, and vacuuming.
• Collaborate with development and infrastructure teams to ensure smooth deployments.
• Support on-call rotations for critical database support incidents.
• Monitor system health and optimize database performance and efficiency.
• Maintain documentation of database configurations, backup strategies, and security procedures.
Required Experience:
• 2+ years of hands-on experience in:
• Database Support (connectivity, performance tuning, and data load management)
• Scheduled Releases and Job Management
• Database Refresh and Backup Operations
• Security Administration (server, database, object-level)
• Database Maintenance (backup, groom, vacuum)
• Strong knowledge of at least two of the following platforms:
• SQL Server
• Oracle
• DB2
• Netezza
Nice-to-Have Experience:
• Experience working in DevOps environments with CI/CD processes for database management.
• Familiarity with database automation tools and scripts.
• Exposure to cloud-hosted database environments (Azure, AWS, or GCP).
• Knowledge of disaster recovery, replication, and high-availability configurations.
Required Skills:
