Allegiance Supply Inc seeks one (1) IT consultant specializing in database and Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) testing, SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), business intelligence, and data warehouse operations handling large data volumes. Experience in SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) testing is required. You must demonstrate expert-level ability in designing and executing structured queries, functional testing, and interface testing for enterprise applications following industry best practices. Applicants must reside within the Sacramento, El Dorado, San Joaquin or Yolo counties. Local candidates are strongly preferred. Relocation assistance is not available for this position. Job Description: Under the direction of the Application Services Manager or delegate, you will provide support, mentoring, and training in database/ETL and functional testing. Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with stakeholders to review and analyze functional and non-functional requirements.
Develop test plans, test cases/scripts, and test summary reports for manual, integration, regression, and database testing.
Work closely with development teams to analyze critical business scenarios.
Execute test cases and report bugs using Azure DevOps.
Participate in sprint planning, retrospectives, and daily stand-ups; communicate timely status and potential risks.
Provide training and assistance to the Application Services team.
Create SQL stored procedures for test validation of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) under the Verification and Remediation project.
Conduct SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) report testing and validate large data volumes in a data warehouse.
Refactor and optimize SQL stored procedures as needed.
Perform comprehensive knowledge transfer to designated staff to include communication of personal, technical, and operational knowledge or information that enables or enhances the staff's ability to maintain and operate the applicable systems and to include OJT (on-the-job training) hands-on instruction, and all necessary documentation to ensure staff can adequately sustain, maintain, and operate the delivered solutions.
Provide a written manual/guide containing all materials, processes, and system information developed. The customer may reproduce such documentation as needed to ensure project continuity. All information, documentation, and materials produced shall be the property of the customer.
Additional Requirements to Include:
Submit written status reports in MS Word format via email to the manager or designee. Reports should include:
Summarize of completed work vs. planned tasks.
Highlight tasks behind schedule, remedies applied, and overall project impact.
Provide status of overall engagement, including risks, issues, and proposed solutions.
Provide tasks planned for the next reporting period.
Account of your work hours to date.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering or related scientific discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Expert-level (minimum 5 to 8 years) experience in SQL, SSIS, ETL processes, and database testing.
Experience with business intelligence and data warehouse environments handling large datasets.
Proficiency in SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) report testing.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to translate business requirements into testable solutions.
Familiarity with Azure DevOps for test case execution and defect reporting.
Excellent communication, mentoring, and collaboration skills.
The successful candidate must possess strong communication skills, including the ability to read, write, and speak English at a level sufficient to perform the duties of the position effectively.
The successful candidate must maintain a valid driver's license if required for job-related travel.
The successful candidate must have access to reliable transportation to report to assigned work locations as required.
