Role description
IT Project Analyst Location: 100% remote or Denver, CO (if locally based โ€“ onsite would be 3 days/month โ€“ 2nd full week of each month on Tues, Weds, and Thursday) Contract Duration: 3 years We are seeking a motivated Project Analyst to join our clients Business Intelligence PMO team. This Project Analyst will be a crucial part of the successful delivery of a multi-year digital transformation project that entails implementing a new data platform, new data warehouses, and migrating all data products to the cloud while also building new products. This is a multi-phase project. This Project Analyst will partner with Project Managers to drive the entire project lifecycleโ€”from initiation and planning through to execution, monitoring, and successful closure. Your contributions will ensure that our clientโ€™s project is completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards, directly supporting client's mission. This position ideally is in Denver, CO, although remote work options will be considered. Responsibilities will include the following: โ€ข Project Execution & Support: Actively support the daily management of assigned projects, overseeing scope, change control, risks, action items, issues, and key decisions to ensure smooth progress. โ€ข Financial & Resource Tracking: Diligently track and report on team hours and project expenses, proactively identifying and escalating any invoicing issues to maintain budget integrity. โ€ข Data Analysis & Reporting: Research, collect, and analyze project data to track key metrics and generate insightful reports on budget status, forecasts, and other management requirements. Use this analysis to recommend opportunities for process improvements. โ€ข Meeting & Communication Facilitation: Facilitate productive team meetings and develop engaging, informative, and well-organized presentations to communicate project status and outcomes effectively to stakeholders. โ€ข Documentation & Technical Support: Provide essential support to Managers, Business Analysts, and Project Administrators in creating project concept documents, process flows, and project schedules. Required Skills and Expertise: โ€ข Bachelor's Degree in a related field is required or an equivalent combination of education and progressively responsible work experience may be substituted. โ€ข 2-4 years of experience in a project support, coordination, or analytical role. โ€ข Needs to have strong budget and forecasting experience. โ€ข A solid understanding of IT systems and the project lifecycle. โ€ข Intermediate proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). โ€ข Demonstrated ability to create and maintain process flow documents. โ€ข Basic skills in developing and managing project schedules. โ€ข Working knowledge of MS Project, MS Access, and SharePoint is preferred.
