Java GCP Developer

Title: Java GCP Developer Location: San Francisco, CA (Remote) Duration: 6+ Months Contract Job Description: We are looking for an experienced Java GCP Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Java development and hands-on expertise with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services. This role involves both cloud-based application development and production support, ensuring the reliability, performance, and scalability of critical systems. Key Responsibilities: • Design, develop, and maintain cloud-native applications using Java and GCP services. • Provide L2/L3 production support, troubleshoot issues, and ensure quick resolution of incidents. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain high availability and performance of cloud applications. • Implement best practices for CI/CD, monitoring, alerting, and system reliability within GCP. • Contribute to Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and automated deployment pipelines. • Ensure compliance with cloud security standards and efficient handling of API integrations. Required Skills & Experience: • Strong hands-on experience with Java (version 8 or above). • In-depth knowledge of GCP services such as Cloud Functions, Cloud Run, Pub/Sub, BigQuery, and Cloud Storage. • Proven experience in production support and incident management. • Familiarity with monitoring tools such as Stackdriver, Prometheus, or Grafana. • Working knowledge of CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Cloud Build. • Solid understanding of REST APIs, Microservices architecture, and Cloud security best practices.
