Role description
Job Description A leading technology services provider is seeking a Cloud Run Operator to join their remote team. As a Cloud Run Operator, you’ll be responsible for maintaining stable, secure, and high-performing cloud infrastructure for HMS-hosted environments. You will monitor system performance, manage incidents, and support infrastructure automation while ensuring operational continuity across AWS and hybrid environments. Required Skills & Experience • Proficient in scripting and programming languages including PowerShell, SQL, Bash, and Ruby • Strong understanding of Windows Server environments (2012R2, 2019, 2022), Active Directory, DNS, Remote Desktop Services (RDS), and Group Policy (GPO) management • Familiarity with Linux distributions, particularly Red Hat and CentOS • Working knowledge of relational database systems (RDBMS), particularly Oracle • Hands-on experience with configuration and state management tools, specifically Chef • Skilled in deploying and managing cloud-based infrastructure with a solid understanding of networking concepts including VPNs/IPSec, VLANs, routing tables, ACLs, and security groups • Experience working with AWS (or equivalent IaaS providers), including services such as VPC, EC2, S3, IAM, Route 53, SSM, and Lambda • Proven experience maintaining and supporting Windows environments and enterprise networks Desired Skills & Experience • Experience developing or maintaining automation scripts for system operations • Strong background in incident response and operational troubleshooting • Familiarity with monitoring and alerting tools within AWS environments • Excellent documentation and communication skills for tracking changes, incidents, and resolutions What You Will Be Doing • Maintain stable and reliable cloud infrastructure for HMS-hosted environments • Ensure daily monitoring, alert response, and incident management according to HMS standards • Provide on-call support during rotation periods for after-hours incidents and escalations • Deliver system performance and availability reports • Perform server maintenance tasks, including updates, patching, and validation of Windows and Linux systems • Support and maintain AWS infrastructure components (EC2, VPC, S3, IAM, Route 53, etc.) • Execute and maintain automation scripts for operational efficiency • Document all changes, incidents, and troubleshooting steps in tracking systems • Participate in handover and knowledge transfer sessions to ensure smooth transitions Daily Responsibilities 100% hands on learning and growing The Offer You Will Receive The Following Benefits • Remote flexibility • Medical Insurance • Dental Benefits • Vision Benefits Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis now and in the future.
