Title: Jr. Engineer Location : Remote Target Start Date : ASAP Type: contract Pay Rate: DOE We are seeking a detail-oriented Software Engineer experienced in optimizing application performance, security, and deployment workflows. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in AWS, containerization, and continuous improvement practices to ensure scalable, secure, and high-performing systems. Key Responsibilities: • Cloud Deployment & Infrastructure: Deployed applications using AWS Elastic Beanstalk, optimizing resource management and ensuring a consistent, portable environment through Docker containerization. • Performance Optimization: Leveraged Google Lighthouse to monitor and enhance key user experience metrics such as First Contentful Paint (FCP) and Cumulative Layout Shift (CLS) , graphically tracking progress throughout development to ensure superior front-end performance. • Server-Side Monitoring: Implemented Measured-core to track and visualize server-side request speed, reliability, and API responsiveness, while logging errors for continuous performance improvement. • Application Security: Integrated Bearer to proactively detect and remediate code-level security vulnerabilities, applying OWASP best practices to ensure robust and secure deployments. • Continuous Improvement: Identified and resolved frontend, backend, and security issues prior to CI/CD integration, streamlining development and minimizing large-scale refactors through incremental enhancements.
