• • • KDB Developer - Hybrid - 6 Months Contract • • • RED Global now has an urgent requirement for an KDB Developer to join one of our international clients for a Hybrid opportunity with a 6 Months Contract + Possible extension. Job Title: KDB Developer Location: Canary Wharf - 2-3 Days Onsite Duration: 6 months Contract + Possible extension Start Date: ASAP or 4 weeks Contract : Inside IR35 Key Responsibilities • Design, develop, and maintain KDB+/q systems for tick‑level market data, analytics, and real‑time monitoring • Implement performant time‑series data models, schemas, and APIs • Optimize q code for latency, throughput, and memory efficiency • Build real‑time and batch pipelines for market data ingestion and normalization • Collaborate with quants to translate research into production‑ready analytics • Develop tools for back testing, signal generation, and PnL/risk reporting Required Qualifications • 8+ years of hands‑on experience with KDB+/q in a production environment • Strong expertise in q language, including functional programming paradigms • Deep understanding of time‑series databases and market microstructure • Experience with real‑time data capture (tickerplants, RTPs, HDBs) • Solid knowledge of Linux/Unix environments Let's connect for more details.
