Job Title: LAMP Stack Developer Location: Remote, US Work Arrangement: Remote Employment Type: Contract Duration: 12 months Domain: Healthcare | UnitedHealth Group (UHG) Pay Rate: $50.21/hr W2 | $61.04/hr C2C Application Deadline: August 25, 2026 SKILLS REQUIRED Primary (Must-Have): • 10+ years of hands-on experience in full-stack PHP/LAMP development (Linux | Apache | MySQL/MariaDB | PHP) • Production experience with PHP automated testing frameworks (Unit | Integration | Regression Testing) • Deep hands-on expertise in Apache Solr (Indexing | Schema Design | Query Relevance | Performance Tuning | Clustering) • Advanced Python scripting for operational automation, platform reliability, and data processing utilities • Enterprise CI/CD pipeline development, automated secrets management, and DevSecOps controls Secondary (Good to Have): • Experience with application performance optimization, caching strategies, and enterprise HA/DR planning • Hands-on familiarity with vulnerability scanning tools, dependency hygiene, and SBOM compliance • Expertise in building monitoring dashboards, alerting frameworks, and reducing MTTR in production systems • Background in healthcare IT environment standards, data compliance, and enterprise enterprise-grade security POSITION OVERVIEW The LAMP Stack Developer will drive application stability, security, and search performance across core web platforms for UnitedHealth Group (UHG). Reporting to the Engineering Manager, this senior developer will optimize legacy and modern PHP systems, implement rigorous automated testing, and oversee Apache Solr search implementations. This role resolves critical operational bottlenecks by modernizing CI/CD workflows, managing platform security controls, and automating infrastructure tooling via Python to ensure maximum enterprise platform uptime. ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES • Design, develop, enhance, and maintain core LAMP stack applications with an emphasis on high availability, security, and scalability. • Architect and execute end-to-end PHP automated testing strategies (unit, integration, and regression) to elevate deployment quality and release velocity. • Build, maintain, and tune enterprise Apache Solr implementations, including indexing logic, schema configurations, query performance, and multi-node clusters. • Develop production-grade Python scripts for operational tooling, environment automation, data utilities, and platform reliability engineering tasks. • Manage end-to-end CI/CD security controls, including pipeline automation, enterprise secrets management, vulnerability scanning, and real-time observability dashboards.
