LAWSON to SAP Data Migration & Functional Consultant

Job Summary We are looking for a skilled SAP Data Migration & Functional Consultant to support a large-scale transformation initiative involving the migration of legacy Lawson systems to SAP. This role requires a strong blend of functional domain expertise (Finance and/or Supply Chain) and data mapping, transformation, and migration experience. Key Responsibilities • Lead and support data migration activities from Lawson to SAP, including data extraction, mapping, transformation, and validation. • Work closely with business stakeholders to understand functional requirements and ensure accurate data alignment between systems. • Define and document data mapping rules, transformation logic, and reconciliation processes. • Collaborate with technical teams to execute data migration cycles, testing, and cutover activities. • Perform data quality checks, validation, and reconciliation to ensure completeness and accuracy. • Support UAT (User Acceptance Testing) and resolve data-related issues. • Ensure compliance with data governance and security standards. • Provide functional insights into Finance and/or Supply Chain processes during system transition. Required Skills & Experience • Strong experience in data migration projects, especially ERP transformations. • Hands-on experience in Lawson ERP and/or SAP (ECC or S/4HANA). • Solid understanding of data mapping, transformation, and migration tools/processes. • Functional expertise in one or more domains: • Finance (GL, AP, AR, Fixed Assets, etc.) • Supply Chain (Procurement, Inventory, Order Management, etc.) • Experience with data validation, reconciliation, and cleansing techniques. • Ability to translate business requirements into data and functional specifications. • Strong stakeholder communication and documentation skills. Preferred Qualifications • Experience in end-to-end SAP implementation or migration programs. • Familiarity with SAP data migration tools (e.g., LSMW, Migration Cockpit, ETL tools). • Knowledge of data governance frameworks. • Exposure to large enterprise transformation programs.
