Role description
Lead Business Intelligence Developer Type: Contract-to-Hire Location: Chandler, AZ Work Setting: Hybrid; onsite Monday, Wednesday, Friday CornerStone Technology Talent Services is seeking a hands-on, organized, and optimistic Lead Business Intelligence Developer to drive execution and operational excellence within our client’s reporting team. In this pivotal role, you’ll ensure data projects move forward smoothly—keeping deliverables on track, reports accurate, and stakeholders informed. You’ll lead a team of seven analysts, coordinating their daily work, reviewing deliverables, and clearing roadblocks to maintain momentum. This position reports directly to the Director of Financial Analysis and Reporting (F.A.R.) and plays a key role in supporting strategic reporting initiatives across the organization. Key Responsibilities • Delegate and prioritize team tasks to maintain focus and accountability. • Manage peer reviews to ensure reports are accurate and stakeholder-ready. • Act as the main point of contact for questions, blockers, and direction. • Manage workflows and documentation in ClickUp to track progress. • Lead working sessions to resolve reporting issues and clarify requirements. • Record key decisions and ensure follow-through on action items. • Review SQL queries, Tableau dashboards, and logic for accuracy and consistency. • Ensure all reporting aligns with business definitions and leadership standards. • Collaborate with development teams and cross-functional partners to resolve dependencies. • Help analysts understand project goals and requirements. • Develop dashboards and metrics to monitor team performance. • Prepare reporting for new systems and process rollouts. Qualifications • 5+ years of experience in BI, reporting, or data analytics roles. • Strong proficiency in SQL and Tableau (comfortable reading, writing, and reviewing). • Familiarity with Snowflake, Microsoft SQL Server, and DataLake environments. • Proven attention to detail and a knack for spotting inconsistencies. • Prior experience mentoring or leading junior analysts. • Excellent organizational skills and comfort with tools like ClickUp or similar task management platforms. • Sound judgment and decisiveness when working with incomplete information. • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
