Lead Data Analyst

About the Role We are seeking a seasoned Lead Data Analyst with a strong background in AI/ML projects to steer data-driven initiatives and collaborate closely with data science and engineering teams. The ideal candidate will not only possess technical expertise in data analysis and visualization but also demonstrate leadership in guiding analytics efforts, optimizing workflows, and transforming data insights into strategic business impact. This role involves overseeing data pipelines, fostering best practices, and mentoring junior analysts to elevate overall analytics capabilities. Key Responsibilities • Lead the analysis of large, complex datasets to uncover trends, anomalies, and actionable insights that improve AI/ML model performance and business outcomes. • Collaborate with Data Scientists and ML Engineers to support model development, validation, and ongoing monitoring, ensuring alignment with business objectives. • Design, oversee, and optimize data pipelines, ETL processes, and data architecture to support AI & ML initiatives at scale. • Develop advanced dashboards, reports, and data visualizations using Power BI, Tableau, Looker, or Python visualization libraries to enable strategic decision-making. • Conduct data quality assessments, root cause analyses, and anomaly detection to ensure high integrity of AI-generated outputs. • Mentor and lead a team of analysts, fostering best practices in data analysis, documentation, and communication. • Drive data governance, compliance, and security standards across analytics activities. • Support and interpret A/B testing, experimental analysis, and performance metrics for AI-driven features. • Present insights and strategic recommendations to both technical and executive stakeholders. Required Skills & Qualifications • 5+ years of experience in data analysis, data science, or a related field, with proven leadership experience. • Exceptional proficiency in SQL, Python (e.g., Pandas, NumPy), and data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, Looker). • Strong understanding of AI/ML concepts, model evaluation metrics, and lifecycle management. • Hands-on experience working with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) for data processing, storage, and analytics (Amazon S3, Redshift, BigQuery, Databricks, etc.). • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and collaborate with technical and business stakeholders. • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills, with a strategic mindset. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for presenting insights and complex concepts clearly.
