About the Company We are seeking an experienced Lead Data Engineer with strong hands-on expertise in Snowflake, Python, and Oracle PL/SQL. The ideal candidate will have recent experience working on data migration, automation, and data integration projects involving Oracle and Snowflake, with the ability to lead technical delivery and manage offshore/global teams. The role requires a strong balance of technical data engineering, team leadership, client engagement, and project delivery. Experience within Capital Markets or Banking is strongly preferred. Responsibilities • Design, develop, and optimize scalable data solutions using Snowflake, Python, and Oracle PL/SQL. • Lead Oracle-to-Snowflake data migration and automation initiatives, including data extraction, transformation, loading, validation, and reconciliation. • Develop Python-based solutions for data processing, automation, integration, and workflow optimization. • Develop and maintain data pipelines using DBT and other relevant data engineering technologies. • Design Snowflake data models and optimize query performance, storage, and overall platform cost. • Develop complex Oracle SQL/PL/SQL queries, procedures, and performance-tuned solutions. • Create and maintain dashboards and reports using Power BI, Sigma, or other enterprise BI tools. • Lead technical teams and coordinate effectively with offshore/global delivery teams. • Own end-to-end delivery of assigned projects, ensuring milestones, quality, and timelines are met. • Conduct weekly/monthly governance meetings, provide status updates, track risks and dependencies, and communicate progress to stakeholders. • Work directly with clients and business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into effective technical solutions. • Review technical designs and code, provide technical guidance, and mentor team members. • Identify opportunities for process improvement, automation, and application of Generative AI to improve data engineering and analytics processes. Qualifications • Strong hands-on experience with Snowflake, including data modeling, performance optimization, and cost management. • Advanced Python skills with experience in data processing, automation, and integration. • Strong Oracle PL/SQL experience, including complex queries, stored procedures, and performance tuning. • Recent hands-on experience with Oracle-to-Snowflake data migration or data movement automation. • Experience with DBT and modern data engineering practices. • Experience with at least one enterprise BI/reporting tool such as Power BI or Sigma. • Proven experience leading technical teams and managing offshore/global resources. • Strong customer-facing, communication, and stakeholder management skills. • Experience managing governance, status reporting, risks, dependencies, and project delivery. Preferred Skills • Capital Markets experience is highly preferred; strong Banking/Financial Services experience will also be considered. • Experience supporting front-to-back-office, securities, or corporate functions within financial services. • Exposure to Generative AI concepts, tools, or use cases within data engineering or analytics. • SAFe Product Owner/Product Manager (POPM) certification is a plus.
