Lead Data Engineer

• Snowflake data modelling and design experience working on customer sites • Customer sites are in Nottingham and Coventry • Immediate start required interviews this week must be able to proceed Snowflake Lead Data Engineer for an initial 4-month project with potential to extend if phase 1 delivers value. Interview slots over Team tomorrow, Thursday 8th and Friday 9th for an immediate start week commencing Monday 12th January This is a lead Data Engineer role, with strong ownership of the design and data modelling part of a 5-person team, who needs to have strong accountability and be involved in the Sprint management, running daily standups, and dealing with the backlogs - very Agile 20% design rest hands on, for example, if 10 pipelines need to be created, then this would be split across the team, so a very hands-on leader Scope to extend post phase 1 once value is shown, as this is part of a wider and bigger project: Description - Need an experienced Data engineer with skills in Data Modelling and Data Engineering (Tools - Snowflake and Matillion). The scope is to build a new data model in Snowflake following the Medallion architecture - Bronze, Silver, Gold. The candidate is expected to lead and finalise the data model design and be hands-on in building the data model. They will be expected to guide a team of 2 data engineers to help build the data model Start date - asap for 16 weeks Travel required - to Nottingham and Coventry weekly. 3 days per week to start with, alternating across each location will go down to 2 days per week once settled. Experience and skills required: Developing complex ETL processes ideally in Matillion or a similar ETL product Designing and Developing Snowflake Staging, Preparation, and Warehouse areas Data Modeling Managing Development/QA and Live environment in Snowflake and Matillion Orchestrated the setup and architecture of Snowflake, establishing workspace structures, defining Medallion (Bronze/Silver/Gold) layers This is an Inside IR35 contract with an immediate start required for next week and interview slots tomorrow and Thursday - Please only apply if you can interview this week and start next week, and can travel to Nottingham and Coventry.
