Role description
A Little About This Gig
Agility Partners is seeking a qualified Lead Data Engineer to fill an open position with one of our clients in the banking industry. This is an opportunity where you will lead complex, enterprise‑scale Salesforce data migration initiatives from strategy through execution. You’ll serve as the technical authority across mapping, ETL design, validation, mock runs, cutover, and reconciliation while remaining hands‑on. This role offers the chance to guide mission‑critical migrations, mentor engineers, and deliver compliant, repeatable, and audit‑ready data solutions.
Responsibilities
• Own the end‑to‑end technical design and execution of Salesforce data migration pipelines, including load strategy, sequencing, staging architecture, and data quality controls
• Lead all migration phases such as profiling, mapping, extraction, transformation, mock runs, remediation, final loads, and post‑migration reconciliation
• Provide technical leadership, reviews, and sign‑off on source‑to‑target mappings, ETL workflows, validation rules, and cleansing logic
• Partner with Salesforce architects, business SMEs, and enterprise data teams to align dependencies, resolve data issues, and drive successful cutover
Qualifications
• Expert‑level experience designing and overseeing ETL workflows using IBM DataStage
• Advanced SQL skills, including performance tuning on large‑scale datasets
• Strong Python experience for automation, validation scripting, and data transformation
• Proven background leading Salesforce or enterprise CRM data migration initiatives
• Deep understanding of data governance, validation, lineage, and audit requirements
• Demonstrated experience leading data engineering teams or migration workstreams
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience with 10+ years in data engineering, including 3+ years in a technical leadership role
Reasons to Love It
• High‑impact leadership role driving enterprise Salesforce migrations end to end
• Hands‑on influence over architecture, execution, and quality—not just oversight
• Opportunity to mentor engineers and establish repeatable, scalable migration standards
• Work on compliance‑driven, highly visible initiatives in a regulated industry
