Role description
Overview: [NO C2C] The Data Governance/Quality Specialist is responsible for supporting development and governance of the information management program including the Data Governance Charter, Strategy, and creation and maintenance of data related policies. This position will also support the data quality program and creation of data quality scorecards and KPIs. Essential Duties: • Supports the company's vision for business-wide data activities and champions data ownership, standardization, accessibility and governance including the information management roadmap • Supports the creation and maintenance of the Data Governance Charter and related data strategies • Supports development of data governance frameworks and guidelines, including data classification, data ownership, and data stewardship • Collaboratively oversees cross-functional data governance while ensuring adoption and adherence to data quality and governance activities • Leads efforts to determine appropriate policy and standards of information management for the utilization, cleansing and privacy of information assets • Provides expertise and guidance in the administration for data retention policy and process • Provides guidance and training to the business users on data governance best practices, policies, and procedures • Performs statistical tests on large datasets to determine data quality and integrity • Running data queries to identify coding issues and data exceptions, as well as cleansing data • Supports the development of a data quality scorecard and KPIs • Stays updated on industry trends, standards, and regulatory requirements related to data governance and recommend appropriate modifications to existing policies and practices • Support the creation of policies and procedures as they related to NACHA and other regulatory requirements • Performs related duties as assigned.
