Role description
Insight Global is seeking a tenured Data Scientist - Lead to support a long-term project focused on incident and congestion management. This can be fully remote, but the ideal candidate will be within a traveling distance of Richmond, VA as needed. This will start as a 1-year contract with extensions. This role involves executing the project from conception to deployment, utilizing machine learning techniques to enhance predictive analytics and automation within AI. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in data science and various Azure AI systems, with a proven track record of successfully managing complex projects. This will be 50% hands on and 50% leadership, communicating with C-Suite, Internal and External individuals. This individual will have 5-9 direct reports. Requirements: β€’ 10-15 years’ experience between data science and data engineering. β€’ 2-5 years’ experience with Azure Databricks, Azure Data Factory, Azure Machine Learning. β€’ Proven experience leading a team. β€’ Strong machine learning experience, including model development and deployment. β€’ Hands-on experience with Python and Apache Spark. β€’ Expertise in building Azure Data Pipelines. β€’ Advanced knowledge of data science principles and methodologies. β€’ Proficiency in statistical analysis, machine learning algorithms, and data visualization. β€’ Experience with data preprocessing, feature engineering, and model evaluation. β€’ Strong background in ETL and ELT processing. β€’ Experience with large-scale data processing and big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark). β€’ Strong communication skills with multiple stakeholders and high-level team members β€’ Masters or PhD in Data Science Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
