Lead Developer

Overview: We are hiring a Lead Developer to join our Digital Technology team within a large enterprise environment. This role owns development, modernization, and support of critical JavaScript-based applications used across plant and transportation operations on iPads and iPhones. The position requires strong independence, accountability, and consistent delivery against timelines. You will take full ownership of application areas, understanding not just the code but how systems connect to business workflows and operational impact. The ideal profile has experience migrating or re-platforming applications and can drive solutions from design through production in an Agile environment. You will lead an Angular to Vue migration with limited internal Angular expertise. Expect to define technical direction, validate decisions through research and testing, and implement scalable solutions. Emphasis is placed on writing maintainable code with clear structure, naming, and patterns that support long-term usability and team adoption. Day to day: • Lead migration of a hybrid mobile app from Angular to Vue • Simplify business logic and define scalable architecture • Build, enhance, and support mission-critical warehouse and transportation applications • Own full lifecycle delivery including design, development, testing, deployment, and support • Identify improvements, technical debt, and risks proactively • Partner with product, UX, and engineering teams to deliver scalable solutions • Participate in Agile ceremonies • Mentor developers and contribute to technical standards • Troubleshoot production issues with minimal operational disruption • Ensure alignment with enterprise security, scalability, and performance standards Must haves: • Experience using AI-assisted development tools with strong validation and ownership • Strong experience with Angular, Vue and Nuxt • Hands-on experience with Docker, Git, and AWS • Experience with Firebase, NoSQL or other real-time databases • Background supporting enterprise, production-grade applications • Agile/Scrum experience • Ability to work independently within cross-functional teams • Strong ownership, problem-solving, and communication skills • Experience with testing tools such as Playwright and Vitest or Jest
