Role description
Lead GCP Analytics Engineer • Lead the design, modeling, and scaling of a modern data environment using GCP for a global payment processing company. • Architect and build new data models leveraging dbt, BigQuery, and advanced modeling techniques (Vault 2.0, 3NF, Dimensional). • Gather, document, and translate complex business requirements from stakeholders into scalable technical data solutions. • Build, optimize, and maintain robust SQL-based data transformations and data pipelines for finance and payments domains. • Collaborate with leadership and business teams to deliver clear, maintainable analytics solutions. • Ensure data quality and integrity by implementing validation checks, governance best practices, and access controls. • Manage and support orchestration tools (Airflow/GCP Composer) and CI/CD pipelines for reliable workflow automation. • Enable data democratization by preparing curated datasets and developing semantic layers for analysts, business users, and data scientists. • Maintain hands-on expertise with Python, Docker, Git, and other modern analytics tools. • Serve as a trusted data partner across multiple departments, driving structure and clarity in the analytics ecosystem.
