Role description
The Lead Oracle Developer is responsible for creating and driving the technical design, development, and delivery of software solutions for complex business needs. This role provides hands-on Oracle development expertise, leads problem resolution, and guides team members while ensuring high-quality code, performance, and documentation across large Oracle environments.
Responsibilities
Create and lead the technical design and development of software solutions.
Propose and design software solutions that address complex business and data needs.
Prepare required technical and procedural documentation.
Facilitate the resolution of complex technical issues and production problems.
Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and support to colleagues and project teams.
Review coding, testing deliverables, and documentation for quality and standards alignment.
Apply modern development principles, methodologies, and tools to support business initiatives and enhance technical capabilities.
Must-Have Technical Skills
8+ years of hands-on experience in Oracle database development and solution delivery
Expert-level Oracle database development (PL/SQL).
Strong experience performance tuning Oracle queries.
Extensive experience with database design and programming for very large Oracle datasets.
Solid knowledge of data modeling and data warehouse concepts.
Background with banking applications (preferably regulatory) handling large data volumes.
Preferred Skills
Experience with other databases (e.g., Teradata).
Familiarity with DevOps tools.
ETL experience, especially Informatica.
Experience with Python or Shell scripting.
Education & Certifications
Bachelorβs Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
Relevant certifications (preferred):
Oracle OCP / OCE (DBA or PL/SQL)
Oracle Exadata
Oracle GoldenGate
