Role description
Title: Lead Power Platform Developer
Location: Hybrid | Manchester (8 days per month onsite)
Salary: Up to £61,771 + 10% Car Allowance
Type: 12 Month FTC (Possibility to extend)
Our client is looking for a Lead Power Platform Developer to design and deliver modern applications, portals, dashboards, and automation that transform the way their business operates. You’ll combine low-code and pro-code development to create scalable, secure, visually polished solutions and help shape their Power Platform strategy, governance, and best practices.
What you’ll do
• Design, develop, and deliver solutions using Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, Power Pages, and Copilot
• Apply strong solution, UI/UX, accessibility and design best practices
• Extend Power Pages using Liquid templates, JavaScript, HTML, CSS
• Build PCF components and pro-code extensions
• Integrate with Dataverse, Azure SQL, APIs, and enterprise systems
• Lead environment strategy, ALM, solution packaging, and deployment pipelines
• Replace legacy/manual processes with automated, cloud-based workflows
• Ensure compliance with data protection, security, DLP policies, and environment management
• Optimise performance and troubleshoot complex issues across low-code and pro-code solutions
• Mentor developers, champion best practice, and support capability building
• Stay current with emerging Power Platform, Copilot, and cloud advancements
Experience
• Proven experience delivering Power Platform solutions (Apps, Automate, BI, Pages, Copilot)
• Strong HTML, CSS, JavaScript and front-end development skills
• Advanced Dataverse skills: modelling, relationships, business rules, role-based security
• Expertise in Power Pages (configuration, security roles, Liquid, templates)
• Experience with PCF, custom connectors, and API integration
• Advanced DAX for Power BI reporting
• Strong testing, debugging, troubleshooting and performance optimisation capability
• Experience with ALM, DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, version control, and code review
• Knowledge of ITIL, Agile/SAFe, service management and backlog management
• Azure certification and hands-on experience (+ awareness of AWS or other cloud platforms)
• Excellent time management, prioritisation, and ability to work independently on complex projects
• Commitment to continuous learning and emerging technology adoption
• Experience in complex or regulated industries (utilities, telecoms, etc.) is beneficial
