Lead Python Developer (W2 Only | In-Person Interview Required) • • McLean, VA (Local Candidates Preferred) 12 Months Contract W2 Only (No C2C) $60–$65/hr on W2 Job Description We are seeking an experienced Lead Python Developer with 12+ years of overall IT experience for a 12-month W2 contract opportunity based in McLean, VA. This role requires strong hands-on Python development skills, technical leadership, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment. ️ In-person interview is mandatory. Key Responsibilities Lead the design, development, and maintenance of Python-based applications Provide technical leadership and code reviews for development teams Architect scalable, high-performance backend solutions Collaborate with product owners, architects, and DevOps teams Ensure best practices for coding, testing, security, and performance Troubleshoot production issues and drive root-cause analysis Mentor junior and mid-level developers Required Skills & Experience 12+ years of overall IT experience Strong hands-on experience with Python Experience with frameworks such as Django, Flask, or FastAPI Strong knowledge of RESTful APIs and microservices architecture Experience with relational and NoSQL databases Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP preferred) Experience with CI/CD pipelines and version control tools (Git) Excellent communication and leadership skills Preferred Qualifications Experience in financial services or large enterprise environments Exposure to containerization tools (Docker, Kubernetes) Agile/Scrum development experience
