Role description
Job Title: Lead Snowflake Developer Location: Remote Job Duration: 12 months+ Job Description: • We are seeking an experienced Lead Snowflake Developer with strong expertise in Snowflake data engineering, cloud data platforms, and API-driven integrations. The ideal candidate will lead the design, development, and optimization of enterprise data solutions while collaborating with architecture, application, and business teams to deliver scalable analytics and data integration capabilities. • This role requires a hands-on technical leader with deep Snowflake experience, strong SQL skills, and proven expertise in building and consuming APIs to enable seamless data exchange between enterprise applications and cloud platforms. Key Responsibilities • Lead the design, development, and implementation of scalable data solutions using Snowflake Cloud Data Platform. • Develop and optimize complex SQL queries, stored procedures, views, and data models within Snowflake. • Design and implement robust API integrations (REST/SOAP) between Snowflake and enterprise applications. • Build data pipelines and integrations using modern ETL/ELT frameworks and cloud technologies. • Work with application teams to expose and consume data through secure APIs. • Develop API services, data services, and integration frameworks supporting enterprise data products. • Perform data modeling, performance tuning, and optimization of Snowflake workloads. • Implement best practices around Snowflake architecture, security, governance, and data sharing. • Collaborate with business analysts, architects, developers, and stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions. • Provide technical leadership, code reviews, mentoring, and guidance to development teams. • Troubleshoot complex data issues and provide solutions across data engineering and integration layers. Required Skills & Experience • 8+ years of experience in data engineering, database development, and enterprise data solutions. • 4+ years of hands-on experience with Snowflake development and architecture. • Strong expertise in: • Snowflake SQL development • Data modeling and dimensional modeling • Snowflake performance optimization • Snowflake security, roles, and access management • Strong programming skills in SQL and Python. • Extensive experience developing and integrating RESTful APIs. • Strong understanding of: • API design principles • JSON/XML data structures • Authentication mechanisms (OAuth, JWT, API keys) • API gateways and enterprise integration patterns
